Online

Students have the flexibility to join classes live at the scheduled time, allowing for real-time interaction and discussion, or to access recorded lectures and learning materials at a time that suits their schedule.

In-Person

Mixed

Units offered via blended mode include a recorded lecture which must be viewed in advance, prior to participating in a live webinar or attending an in-class session.

Doctor of Philosophy
The Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) is a graduate research degree that enables candidates to make an original contribution to knowledge and to develop as an independent researcher.
Doctor of Professional Practice
Designed for experienced practitioners to develop advanced knowledge and skills relevant to their professional context. It equips mature professionals to develop their research competency and their critically reflective practice, and to further develop their theoretical knowledge.
Graduate Certificate in Divinity
This award allows students to explore areas of interest in divinity and its associated disciplines. It serves as an introduction to the broad field of study of theology or philosophy and disciplines which are associated with them.
Graduate Certificate in Leadership
This award is designed for both new and experienced leaders wishing to consolidate their learning, challenge their assumptions and underpinning knowledge and skills, and explore ways to develop their leadership influence skills in their teams and workplaces.
Graduate Certificate in Theology
This course qualifies students in theological study by developing or deepening their knowledge and skills in theological disciplines. It serves as a foundation for further study and a means of critically engaging Christian thought and traditions. Graduates are able to articulate insights for Christian life and social engagement.
Graduate Diploma in Divinity
This award allows students to explore multiple areas of interest in divinity and its associated disciplines or to engage with one or two areas in depth.
Graduate Diploma in Pastoral and Spiritual Care
This award provides students with the opportunity and skills for reflective and critical engagement in the conversation between the texts of human experience, contemporary culture, ministry or service or wider societal context, and Christian scriptures and tradition.
Graduate Diploma in Theology
This award allows students to explore areas of interest in theology. It provides a substantial foundation for further study and a means of engaging Christian thought and traditions.
Master of Philosophy
The Master of Philosophy (MPhil) is a graduate research degree that enables candidates to further develop skills in carrying out independent and sustained research.
Master of Pastoral and Spiritual Care
This award enables students to apply an advanced body of knowledge and skill in pastoral care in relation to broader theological studies.
Master of Theology
This award enables students with an undergraduate degree in theology or ministry to apply an advanced body of knowledge in theology and its associated disciplines.

Tuition fees vary by award type. We do not offer scholarships, but Australian citizens and holders of a permanent humanitarian visa may defer the payment of fees through the FEE-HELP loan scheme.

Depending on the course, you may earn a certificate, diploma, bachelor’s degree, or postgraduate qualification.

Course durations vary. Full awards or degree programs can take 1–3 years full-time or can be extended up to 9 years part-time. Certificate courses, on the other hand, can be completed in 6 months if taken full time.

We offer degree courses that are designed for beginners in theological education. Some advanced courses may require prior theological study or equivalent experience. The University of Divinity has set the minimum academic standards for admission to each award type.
